We encourage all prospective students to attend
our Open house that is held every fall prior to the T.A.C.H.S. Entrance
Exam in November. You will have an opportunity to meet the administration,
faculty, parents and students at the Open house. They can answer
questions you have about the academic and sports programs. Presentations
in classrooms, demonstrations in our science and computer labs,
and displays by various clubs will give you an overview of our program.
Rice parents are also available to help answer questions. Information
about Financial Aid will be distributed and explained.
We encourage all applicants to take the T.A.C.H.S.
Entrance Exam in November. Our School Code for the Exam is 109.
Remember to write code 109, for Rice High School,
when selecting your schools. This will allow your scores to be transmitted
directly to Rice and speed up your application process. Remember
there is an October deadline for the filing for the T.A.C.H.S. Entrance
Exam and it requires a fee. If a prospective student misses this
exam, Rice High School offers an Entrance Exam starting in the Spring
Semester. Applicants must bring a copy of there most recent
report card and letter of recommendation from their principal
or guidance counselor. Please contact Mr. Crawford's office
at 212-369-4100 x208 for specific dates and times of Entrance Exams.
